Q: Do I get my tapes back when you are done?
A: Yes. We do not damage or otherwise alter your tapes in any way.

Q: How long does it take to transfer my tapes?
A: The time varies from 2-3 business days, depending on the time of year, and how many jobs are in-house at the time.

Q: Can I view my tapes at your location?
A: Unfortunately we are not equipped to provide a viewing room.

Q: What if I don't know whats on the tape?
A: The only real option we have to help you determine if you want the tape transferred, is to let us know what you DONT'T want transferred. For instance, if you aren't sure if the tape is of your family, or old re-runs of The Gong Show, just let us know not to transfer it if it appears to be a TV show. Be careful though, we will only watch the first minute or so of a tape to determine this.

Q: Why are there some blue sections on the transfer DVD?
A: We transfer tape in a digital environment, to get the best possible results. When there is no video/audio signal on the tape, "snow" is not recorded, but rather a blue screen. This also happens when you record the tape, you stop...leave the tape for a bit, and start recording at a later date. The signal is missing on the tape for a small amount of time, usually just a few seconds.

Q: What if I dont want the whole tape transferred?
A: Our basic transfer services are for the whole tape. You can inquire about additional charges for us to transfer segments of a tape.

Q: I think my tape had another minute or so at the end, where did it go?
A: We transfer 2 hours onto the first DVD. If the tape has less than 5 minutes of video footage on it, we do not transfer to another DVD. If it has more than 5 minutes, another DVD is recorded.

Q: Can I put more than one tape on a DVD?
A: That is not an option with a basic transfer. Inquire about costs to have this done.

Q: How much tape can fit on a DVD?
A: Each DVD can hold 2 hours. We will use additional DVDs if your tape runs over the 2 hour time limit, at no additional charge.

Q: What equipment do you use?
A: We use Samsung Recorders that use Dolby Digital Audio. Our VCR's are all professional grade players, and are cleaned and maintained regularily.

Q: I have sony Digital8 Tapes. Do you transfer those?
A: Yes we do! 

Q: Do you offer quantity discounts?
A: Yes we do. For 10 or more tapes at a time, we do offer a discount. Please inquire!

Q: My tape is broken. Can you transfer it?
A: Unfortunately we believe that your memories are too important for us to attempt a fix on yoru tape, and possible ruin the chances of ever getting the footage back. There are companies the U.S. that provide this type of service.
